I wanted some kind of speakers up
front and in the rear for a total of four so I thought I'd put the two front
        ones in
the doors. I plan on using two more behind the seats which will be 6 X
        9's. I bought two different
pairs of speakers to choose from and there both made by
		Infinity. These
are 6 1/2" round and after measuring the distance from the
door-to-the-inner-door skin, they were going to work, but not by much.
The others were also made by Infinity but were only 4" round. They
both had about the same depth to them so I went with the larger ones.
These are a two way speaker and can handle 150 watts each. The small
tweeter in the middle moves so you can point it at the listener. I got
the two year warranty on them so if ANYTHING happens to them, I can get
        a new pair for free.

After measuring the size of the
speakers, I marked and cut-out some 5 1/4" holes with my Dremel. If
your wondering what the vise-grips are doing, there holding some wires
out of the way. They happen to be close by so I used them. Now I have to
drill four holes to mount the speakers to the door.

Now that the speakers are mounted, I'll need to measure the outside of them and make a cut-out in the door
panel to clear them. The blue tape is just a reference of where the door
bar will be once the cage is finished. I had to make sure that the
speakers were going to clear them. Really what needs to clear the door
bar is the grills that cover the speakers but I think I have that figured
out so let's cut-out some holes in the door panels.

After measuring the outside of the
        speaker, I needed a 6 1/4" diameter hole. I made the hole
.100" bigger so I didn't have a problem and that worked out fine. I
might glue the material to the sides of the foam instead of wrapping
it around the back of the panel so the speaker grill will keep it from going
anywhere. Now it's time to work on my arm-rests.
