| We've got flames!
The first thing I thought of when I saw the car
was.....where are the different colors at? I must have had that look
like, what the hell dude! Rob told me that's because the colors were
"pearl" (like the rest of the car) and they won't look like much
till the clear has been put on and buffed out. Well all I can say is
" I sure hope so" because I wasn't very happy with my first
look. I do however love the style, size and location of the flames but I just couldn't
really see all the different colors....yet.

Here is the hood side that will be
going right below the hood above. Notice how the flames on the hood side
will work with the hood. What I mean is the start and finish of the
flame tips don't overlap from one panel to the other. This way I can use
the hood sides or not and still have it look right. Rob did a nice job
in doing the graphics this way.

Now you can see how the firewall looks
as it blends its way into the cowl and then to the door. I really like
how they came out and the pattern that Rob came up with. What needs to
be done now is to pinstripe everything. Rob uses a guy named Tom from Yucaipa
to do the striping duties. After the pinstriping has been finished, Bart
will spray clear on it and then buff it all out. Rob says that once
that's done, the colors will really show up better so the next update
        should show all that.

Here is Tom laying down some stripes
freehand. It always amazes me how these pinstripe guys can do this
without having the lines too thick or too thin while working. Tom
centers his pinstripe over the orange and purple which outlines
        everything.

Tom thought a lime green would look
good with the other colors but to be honest, I really didn't know. He
showed me a small amount spread around on his Readers Digest book before
he did any striping and then I started to see what he meant. After a few
minutes of him working, I started to like it a little better but still
wondered just how it was going to look when he was finished. I guess the
shock factor was me not picking out this color in the first place so it
didn't give me much time to let it sink in.
