		 To make sure the crankshaft and
        connecting rods survive, I'm using  
		Clevite 77 bearings. These bearing
        have a long history of being some of the best.

      This is what the rod bearings look
        like. If you haven't seen one before, it's not like a ball-bearing type
        but is a bearing non the less. Oil is pumped into this area through the
        holes in the crankshaft which in turn has the crank and rods riding on a
        cushion of oil. These have a steel back with a multi-coating (layers) of
        different materials that are for lubricating along with the oil. The
        main bearings look like this as well but a different size.

      Here is the rods I went with. There
        made be 
		Eagle and are an H-beam design. What's a H-beam? Well if you
        took one and cut in half, then looked down on it you would see it
        resembled an H. Let's take a closer look so you can see for yourself.
