      MSD stand for "Multiple
Spark Discharge". The hot multiple sparks ensure complete
combustion of the air/fuel mixture even under the worst conditions
possible. The list of features are long and sweet for this unit.

          - All sparks, including
each multiple spark, is 110 milliJoules of spark energy.

 - Steps up the primary
            voltage to 470 volts.

 - Spark series lasts for
            20° of crankshaft rotation.

 - Operates at full power
with a supply of 10 - 18 volts and will run down to 5 volts.

 - Cast aluminum housing
and Humi-Seal coated circuits protect the electronics.

 - Can be triggered using
points, electronic ignitions or magnetic pickups.

        What this unit does is
put out a spark every 20 degrees of the crankshaft. This burns the
combustion chamber almost completely which means the spark plugs stay
cleaner longer. I had some serious gas fouling problems in my old car
and after I put an MSD unit on, the problem was gone for
        good.

Here's what's in the plastic bag. We
have all the connectors to hook-up the unit along with mounting
        hardware.

Speaking of mounting hardware, the top
four pieces are rubber mounting pads. Just screw them into the bottom of
the control box and then screw them to a mounting surface. The four
white pieces are why I wanted this model. These are for the built-in
Soft Touch Rev Control. This feature allows you to set an rpm limit to
protect the engine from over-rev damage caused by driveline failure,
broken axels or missed shifts. They just plug in to the side of the box
and that's all there is to it.

This is the spot you would insert the
modules. The control unit will be mounted under the dash so it's easy to
get at. It came with a 3,000, 6,000, 7,000 and 8,000 rpm modules but you
can buy any RPM you want in 100 RPM increments. Now how sweet is that!!!
I think I'll start off with the 6,000 RPM chip
first and work up from there.
