This is shot of the trans so you can
see how things look when it's installed. I'm happy with how it came out
and when there's paint on firewall, it should look even better. Now it's time to start bolting things on so let's get started.

The first thing I'm going to do is
install the Compcams roller rockers. Here you can see them soaking in
oil. This is to make sure that the bearings have some lube in them when
the engine fires for the first time. This pan only holds eight rockers
at a time so I forced to wait over night for the second batch but it
wasn't like I was going for a cruise the next day so no big deal. From
here they go on the heads and get adjusted.

I had some Isky cam lube left so I
dabbed some on the ends of the push rods. This stuff is thicker than oil
and should stay in place till the day I start the engine. It's just a
        little insurance ya know.

Here we have eight poly-locks which is
enough for one side of a head. There are 16 poly-locks in all and four
of them have C-clips. The four special ones go on the ends to locate the
stud girdle (two per side). This is to make sure that the girdle doesn't
get installed to high or low (notice the end ones that have the
C-clips). Each one has a 9/16 hex on top for a wrench and they have all
been heat treated and ground on the outside diameter to locate the
girdle accurately. Let's see how all this goes together.
