I thought I'd show you the boards I
used under the oil pan while I was bolting up the transmission. I looks
like I used one of every size and shape that I could find now doesn't it? I
had to rest the engine on these while I repositioned the chain because
the trans and engine now hooked together had a different balance
point. I tried hooking the chain to the back of the heads only but the
engine was to heavy and the transmission was sticking up in the air.
This was the opposite of what I wanted so I had to add one more chain to
the front of the engine to balance things out. Between the two, I found
the right combination and away I went.

Now you can see where I attached the
chains. This was the perfect angle (trans pointing down slightly) to
work with. My dog Cinder was trying to help me as you can see.

      Yeehaa.... now that's what I'm talk'n
about. Things went smooth for a change. Aside from the temperature being
around a hundred degrees, it got done. I'm very pleased with the
clearance between the firewall and engine because this body has the firewall
moved back three inches more than the stock 33 car does which is a good
thing. This way the distributor won't be such a tight fit along with a
        host of other things.

		 After tightening the transmission
mount bolts, transmission cross member bolts and engine mount bolts,
things were starting to resemble the look of a car.
