Now that the water pump is all bolted
up, it's time to install some pulleys which are made by Billet
Specialties. The first one will be the water pump pulley and it has two
grooves in it. Why two grooves? Remember what I said about the heat/AC
unit being installed someday? Well this is just looking ahead to when I
have an AC compressor to drive with another belt. This should do the job
when that day comes. The pulley is held on with four flathead Allen
screws. I'm not going to be using a fan on this pulley so that means I
can cover these screws up with a nice looking piece that screws on the
        front to cover.

Here is the cover piece that will be
going over the front of the pulley to hide the screws and water pump
shaft. It gets held on by four small Allen head screws.

Mr. Bad Luck didn't go far because the
cover wouldn't bolt up. The cover hit the water pump shaft because it
was to long so I removed the pulley and dug out the grinder. Notice the
chamfer on the end of the shaft now. I also removed some off the end
just to make sure things didn't bind again.

Here you can see the back of the small
cover. It has an angle of about 45 degrees where the shaft would go and
that's just about what I put on the end of the shaft so things would
clear. Let's see if it was enough or not.
