One other piece that I bought from CSI
was this throttle cable quick-disconnect. This attaches to the
carburetor linkage with the nut and washer that you see here. The other
        end goes on the cable.

Here you can see where they come
apart. The round part on the left slides back which is spring loaded.
The other piece goes into a slot under the spring loaded piece and
that's why they call this a "quick disconnect". It only takes
a second to separate the two from one another.

The hole toward the bottom is where
the quick-disconnect piece gets bolted on. I had to deburr the hole and
mounting surface because it was so rough. Otherwise the shoulder on the
quick-disconnect piece wouldn't sit square and I can't have that ya
know. Notice the shinny area around the hole now (I used a file to flatten
and smooth things out). This only took a minute but still makes me
wonder about quality control these days.

Now I'm ready to install the "TPS"
(Throttle Position Sensor) for the transmission. This hardware is what
goes on the carburetor so the transmission will work. If you remember in
        the
		transmission section, I talked
about this so if you need a refresher on how this works, you can check
it out there. What I'm going to do is attach the bracket on the
right-top first and then the TPS bolts to that.
