It's Finished
Here it is all finished. At least my part anyways. Once it arrives at
my daughter's place, she will need to hang it and put all her bottles in
it.

The purple heart has a nice contrast with
the black walnut and alder.

The drawers are 12 1/2" long X 3" high X 2 3/4" deep. There isn't much
room inside them but Tracey said she might store teabags along with some
other stuff.

I put my brand on the back of both drawers. I thought this made more
sense than on the back of the rack which would be against the wall.

Some of this walnut is beautiful.

The outside measures 28 1/4" tall X 26 1/2" wide X 3 1/2" deep. Yes this
is a big spice rack!

The alder and walnut look nice together.
|
|

That small piece of purple heart doesn't have any glue because it's
trapped between those outer pieces.

Somewhere in this top area is where it will be fastened to the wall. And
to help with that, I sent along two 5/16" toggle bolts that should be
more than enough to hold it to the wall.

Here's the hardware and spade bit that I sent to her, which worked out
great.

I know it doesn't look like much room for the top bottles here but
they have a 1/2" of clearance between the bottle's cork and the piece
above it.
