If you remember back when I was making
        my headers, then the blue tape will look familiar. This works really well for
        holding things together so you can get a tack weld on
        it. It's like having another person there to help hold things.

      Here is the finished flange welded on
        and ready for assembly. The other straight piece coming out of the
        muffler will get a flange as well. Then all you do is slide a gasket
        between the two and there you have it.

      This should give you a better idea of
        what the exhaust system looks like. For the most part, the whole system
        is straight. This is a good thing because you treat a gas (exhaust gas
        in this case) like a fluid. This means if it has to go around sharp
        corners, it slows down so having a relatively straight shot to the rear
        should get those gas' out quicker and less restrictive.
