33 Coupe Chassis 3

      | This is the front where the engine
will go. Those two tabs that are pointing inward (near the top) are where the motor
mounts will go. It comes ready to put a small block Chevy in there and
if you want something else, you just tell them.
Looking at the outside of the frame rails, you see
two round tubes with an ear sticking out from them. The round tubes are
where the upper A-frames will go and the little ears are the top shock
mounts. If you look straight down from the upper A-frame mounts just to
the inside of the frame rails, you can see two more round tubes. This is
where the lower A-frames bolt up. Next to them are two more square tabs.
These are the bottom radiator supports. It's nice to have all these
things done for you as it makes for a little less work.

Moving on to the middle, we see how
the chassis is put together. There's lots of strength in this design
because a triangle is one of the strongest structures there is. Notice
all the little holes in the top and side of the frame rails. All those
holes have threaded inserts in them to bolt the body, running
boards and fenders on. Another time saver that TCI incorporates. I
had them do a special modification to the mid-section. If you look at
the plate that's bolted on the bottom, this is where the transmission
will bolt up. They made it out of thicker material because I will be
using an overdrive unit which adds weight. I'll show a different angle
of it in another shot. The round looking piece to the left is a drive
shaft hoop along with the 4 link brackets. I'll show these later also.

This is the rear of the chassis where
the rear end will go. See how the frame has been moved in to accommodate
the larger tires. This is where the whole chassis gets its name of
"Pro Street" because of the 4 link suspension, larger tires,
drive shaft hoop, longer track bar and coil-over shocks. Now lets take a closer look at some of
        the mid-section details.
