What I did was place the wood against
the threads that were sticking out and centered it. After centering I
used a soft-face hammer and hit the wood where they made contact and
this put a small round indentation in the place I needed to drill a
        hole.

After drilling one 5/16" hole and
then countersinking it, I placed the piece over that one hole and
smacked the next one in line. I did this for all three holes to make
        sure things lined up.

This is what it looks like all bolted
up. If you didn't know better, you would think the bolts went all the
way through. Time to hang some electrical stuff.

This is how I plan to attach most of
the heavier things to the wood. By drilling a clearance hole for the
center on the anchors (the pieces on the bottom), you then just tap the
sharp studs into the wood with a hammer till the shoulder is flat against the wood.
Know your ready to screw a bolt in it. These have 5/16-18 threads (coarse) in
them which will be used for the fuse box.
