Returning back to the fuel cell, this
is the floor in the trunk. If you remember awhile back in the Body
section, I had cut this piece of 1/2" plywood and also cut the
2" X 8" that you see at that time. Now I have attached the two
pieces together and drilled three 3/8" diameter holes down through
the floor and wood for mounting.

In this shot you can still see the
fiberglass around the three holes. I used one of my extended drills that
I made for the fuel line for these.

This is the hardware that will be used
which are three carriage bolts which are 3/8" X 7" long and
the other two are for holding the back of the fuel cell down which are
called lag studs. The lag studs have
a machine thread on one end (5/16-18) and 5/16 lag-bolt on the other.
I'll be screwing the lag end into the wood and then using the machine
thread for mounting the back two places on the fuel cell.

After placing the fuel cell on the
plywood, I cut out a section for the sump that you see here. Now I can
cut a hole in the floor of the trunk for the fuel lines.
