The tube is made out of steel braided
line just about like my fuel line is so out came the Dremel to cut the
tube to length. After cutting, I then slid the top part of the coupling
to the end of the tube and screwed the two back together.

Here is what it looks like when I
finished. I checked to make sure the stick was sticking out the right
amount and then tightened everything. If you didn't know better, you
would think I never touched it.

I routed the tube in the shape of an
"S" and then clamped it in place under the firewall. Next I
mounted the tube bracket to the firewall with two 10-32 screws using riv-nuts.
At this point it looks like I'm done but I have one more thing to add.
I'm going to remove the handle and put on a custom one that I made.

I took some measurements from the
handle and then made some new "end pieces" that were just like
the original. The one with the larger hole is for the transmission and
the other is for the engine dip-stick. I drilled and tapped a 6-32 thread
in the other end for my new piece to attach to. Lets see what the new
        handle looks like.
