Electrical Box  9                                                8-2023

Working With Metal Continued

I also made a piece that goes on the end, which is where the secrete weapon wire will pass through. This piece is riveted on as well.

As you can see I placed the box towards a stand-off but that's no big deal. And I made a wall that the sparks can hit without harming anything. The unit will just sit in the box because once it's mounted on on the wall, gravity will keep it from going anywhere.

I tested out this secrete device and it works great. In fact it exceeded my expectations big time and can't wait to here how people react when it's in use.

It's Finished

Here it is mounted on the wall with all the electrical conduit. However, not all of the conduit is actually functional. But if I didn't mention that little detail, you'd never know it.

This sticker was added to make it look that much better, which gives it that finishing touch.

Here is a look at most of the inner workings. The larger wires don't do anything but they look pretty cool, which is what Matt was wanting. The terminal blocks are for mounting the wires that go to the game, which are functional. And of course the secret weapon is at the bottom.

When Matt and I were getting ready to attach the wires that go to the audio jacks, I expected him to cut them to length. But he liked the long wires so we left them all at 30" long. Yes, I know it looks very crowded in there, which Matt was very happy about. Also notice some of the wires that are plugged into the audio jacks. And also notice the symbols next to each jack. This is all part of the puzzle that the people playing the game need to figure out.

A close-up of the top half. The symbols were used because Matt and Angela didn't want them labeled with numbers or letters which is much easier to solve compared to the symbols. Plus it gives this puzzle a little something extra having it this way.

The 18" black wires on that plug into the jacks work great. And the plastic is supported well enough all over so that when someone pulls a wire from one jack and plugs it into another jack that nothing should break.

And a close-up of the bottom half.

I found out that the secret weapon works great and it really gets the attention of whoever is playing because I know it would get mine for sure. This project was really fun to make and I can't wait to watch a group of people doing this game live so I can see there reactions.
