Bella's Bank  4                                                6-2025

Working With Tooling Again

I made this quick fixture to help me with the #4 flathead screws that will be going near the middle of the bank. If you look close, you'll see three arrows (pencil marks) that will help locate the bank against those surfaces. However, only two of those three surfaces will be used while I'm drilling any of my holes.

Working With Wood And Plastic

I have my bank located against the wood tooling below. While working on the hole that you see below, my work piece is against the top and side of my wood tooling. And I can do the opposite hole by turning my work piece 180 degrees.

Then when those are drilled, I move my drill downwards to the bottom holes and use the bottom of the wood tooling this time, and the end of it like before.

Clear Finish

This semi gloss clear spray should provide many years of protection for this wooden surface.

And once again, I'm using my side yard for a paint booth.

It's Finished

Here it is all finished. However, it's hard to photograph a clear surface like this plastic because it reflects everything so much.

Plenty of room for lots of coins.

Black walnut sure is a pretty wood.

This combination of wood looks nice together.

The plastic sits just below the wood surface so it won't get scratched even if it falls over.

Happy Birthday Isabella, I hope you like your gift.
