This is a close-up of the plane above which shows the
variable pitch mechanism for the props. They don't make them like this
anymore.

kinda like the one above.

You can see the grain of the wood on this prop which caught my eye. Very
nice looking!

This is an MD 500 series helicopter that I happen to make parts for where
I work. The parts that we make are the tension torsion straps that go
between the rotor hub and rotor wings. In other words, it's a strap
assembly that goes between the blades to the center hub of the
helicopter to hold the blades on. We also make the same part for the
tail rotor as well. If you ever see one of these MD 500 or 600 series
helicopters, I had something to do with making the straps that are on
everyone of them. And these parts are considered flight safety parts
because the pilot's life depends on them not coming apart.

The straps we make or not visible because they are inside of a hub
assembly. This keeps them cleaner and out of the way of flying debris.
