Picture Frame  3                                                01-2021

Hanging Hardware

I'm going to use a small saw tooth bracket for this project because the picture frame is small. I predrilled some holes for the bracket and then I pressed it in.

This should hold the frame on the wall with no problems.

The only thing I bought for this project were these Glazing Points to hold in the picture, plastic and backing. However, after playing with them for a few minutes, they gave me more trouble than they were worth. Time for plan B.

I found some very small nails that I had laying around and decided to try them. I used my scribe to make a small indentation at each location and predrilled some holes. Then I placed the nails in the holes and squeezed them in with my channel locks. To make sure I didn't damage the wooden surface, I placed a few wraps of tape on the jaws.

I drilled about halfway through the frame and the rest you can see here. This worked out great and I can remove the nails very easily.

It's Finished

Here is the Christmas gift my wife gave me in 2020. She put a lot of thought into this to which I'm truly grateful for.

In case you don't understand each one I'll explain each one below:

One: On our first date we went to a small restaurant for coffee (I had a soda). All we did was talk for an hour and a half. When we were leaving I asked her "do you like hunters"? And she said, "my dad is a hunter". Great answer!

Two: The two dogs we had were named KD and Cinder. KD stands for Kevin's Dog which was a Golden Retriever and Cinder was a Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Both were registered AKC dogs, both females and they were both very smart. In fact they would do just anything I wanted.

Three: We have three grandchildren, which we love very much. One boy (12) and two girls (3) and (1).

Four: Our four kids are all grown and are doing really good.

Five: In the year 2020 we celebrated our 25th year of marriage.

Six: We like to work crossword puzzles on the weekends, two on Friday, two on Saturday and two on Sunday.

Seven: In 2007 my wife was diagnosed with cancer and needed surgery, along with radiation and chemotherapy.

Eight: We bought a brand new house in 2012 and have been living in it for eight years up to this point.

Nine: Once I had my 33 Ford on the road, we attended a bunch of car shows for about nine years before I sold it.

Ten: This is what my wife considers the end result on a scale of 1 to 10 when I make projects.

Eleven: We have lunch between 11 and noon on the weekends and like to watch a movie while we eat.

Twelve: Once we both retire we can spend our lives together. Over 12 plus years!

Thank you so much sweetie, I love it.
