Welding and Machining 

I'll be cutting all those screws to the shorter length the arrow is pointing to.

 

 

 

Here I'm using my screw cutting fixture to shorten my screws. If you'd like to see what it took to make this bolt cutting fixture click here because there is much more to it than you can see from here.
 

 

 

So far it fits pretty good.
 

 

 

Here you can see I've attached the gears to the shifter fork. And I've welded on the nuts as well.
 

 

 

Back to some car parts: here I'm welding some of my old roller rockers together that were used on my 33 Ford.

These pushrods worked good for this.
 

 

 

Here I have my old distributor gear pressed inside a motorcycle part. And the part on top is a shifter fork with my bolt and nut.
 

 

 

Here is the bottom side.
 

 

 

These are old guide plates from my 33 Ford. Guide plates help keep the valve train geometry in order, or keeping the pushrods from moving around. The two holes are where the rocker studs hold down the guide plates.
