Art Project 1                                                2-2019

I'm making another art project here, and like the others I'm not going to say what I'm building, I'm just having fun with my welder and trying to be creative. What I am going to do is tell you what each part is and then you'll have to figure out what it looks like to you. With that being said let's get started.

Welding and Machining

The date I started this project was February 2019 but I put everything away because I got busy with another project.

These are some old pushrods from my old 33 Ford. I thought these would work good for this project.

Here I'm welding some of them together.

I bored out the threads of this 3/4" nut to make room for another nut.

On the right is an acorn nut that I'll be press fitting into the one I just removed the threads from.

And there we go.

So far I've been using car parts but now it's time to change gears and use some motorcycle stuff. This is a shifting fork out of a dirt bike.

This gear is out of a Polaris. The aluminum piece is something I made to go inside the center of the gear.

Here is another aluminum part that I made which will go with the one above.

Here I'm drilling and tapping some threads.

By now you should have a pretty good idea of what I'm trying to make. But if you're still not sure then by all means check out the next page.
