The first thing I noticed was how beefy the alternator bracket was. Then
when I looked a little closer I noticed how close the alternator was to
the chassis because it looked like it was hitting it.

I couldn't get my head in the right position to see if it was or not so
I snapped a shot of it and sure enough, it's touching the chassis....not
good.

painted.
