Law's Coffee Shop had their 4th annual car show on July 24th. in beautiful Oak Glen,
Ca. This show is one of our favorites because it's held at about 4500
feet above sea level which means the temps will be about 10
to 15 degrees cooler than where we live.
The community of Oak Glen is known for being apple country to the
locals and draws tons of people to their community starting in September and lasting thru
December. There are many apple orchards in the area and most of them
sell more than just apples. And you have your choice of picking your own
or buying a bag full. The area is full of trees and the surrounding
mountains make for a great setting and great eating too.
The show ran from 8am till 3pm but Larry and I arrived at about 6:15
to get a good spot. Your entry got you a T-shirt, a dash plaque, a 10% discount coupon
at Law's Coffee Shop and a goodie bag that had a few nice things in it.
There were lots of vendors, 99.9 KOLA radio's disc jockey Vic Slick was
spinning the tunes and the weather couldn't have been better with clear
skies and temps in the 80's. All this made for a great turnout of cars
and spectators too.
