		 Farmers Corner Car Cruise

Larry has been telling me about
another show that he likes to attend over in Hemet, Ca. called
"Farmers Corner Cruise" which is about 20 miles away. They
have the show on the first Sunday of every month which was Aug. 6. We decided to go at
the last minute so we packed up and went on over. Gary and Debbie
weren't able to make it to this one either so maybe we can all be there for
the next one. We were in a hurry to get out of town and we forgot to
take the camera....duh! I guess I'll have to make sure we take it on our
next trip so I don't have to talk my way through it like I'm doing
        now.

We found out there wasn't as many cars there this
time because the start time for the show had been changed. Some of the
cars came back once the word got out and some of them didn't. There were
about 30 cars there of all different years and it's put on by a local
group of guys. I can see why Larry likes it there because the people are
very friendly and they have some nice cars too.
One of the things that Larry has been telling me
about is a guy that does airbrushed T-shirts. All  you do is send
the guy a picture of your car and he'll do it one of two ways, normal or
cartoon like. Before we left, he handed me a form that you fill out and
send him along with your picture so I gave it to my wife right as we
were leaving and she held it while driving home. We followed Larry as we
left and after a few miles, we came to a place that has a nice long
straight-away. As we both  turned the corner I saw Larry get on it
because this area looks like a legal drag strip. Well I had to whack the
throttle too so off we went.
Once we were going the speed limit again, I
noticed the paper in my wife's hand looked a little different than I
remembered. She had held it so tight that it was all crumbled up and wet
from her hands sweating. I laughed so hard that my sides started to hurt
when I saw that. Now she doesn't like going fast but I couldn't help
        myself.
When I get a chance to play a little, I like to take advantage of it, as
long as nobody's around. I didn't think I would ever be able to use that
paper again but after a few days, it returned to a readable piece of
paper again. She tells me "you know I don't like going fast".
        Yeah I know, but I couldn't help it....and I can't wait till the next
show so she can tell me that again :-)
I won a trophy called  "Clean
Machine" that day which was way cool and some screwdrivers in the
raffle. We all had a good time and we'll be going back
again for the next show. If you can, come on out for the next one..
        Hope to see ya'll there.
