33 Coupe Having Fun 13

A 57 Chevy four door complete
with fender skirts. This was another fully restored car that looked
great. Right after I took this picture, my batteries died in my camera
so I won't be able to show you anymore cars. You would think I would make
sure to have fully charged batteries when I attend a car show now
wouldn't you!! Notice all the cars that are in
the background. Most of them are hot rods and not restored like this
one.

| Here you can see Larry's, Gary and
Debbie's and my car. There's something about just sitting around, having
lunch and then more sitting around that makes for a great day with
friends.
After the band was through playing, the awards
were ready to be handed out. I only saw four or five trophies up
on the table and once everyone else saw the same thing, people knew it was
going to be hard to win anything. The awards were Best Truck, Best Hot
Rod, People's Choice, Best of Show and one other one that I can't
remember.

I was lucky enough to win this prize
with my raffle ticket. This is a nice prize but I won't be using it on
my car. On the other hand, I might use it on my wife's car or on my truck.

| I was also fortunate enough to win a
trophy that day which was for "Best Hot Rod". I really didn't think I
would win anything but here it is. This trophy is very nice and has real
marble making up the different sections. It's over 17" tall and the
car on top looks fantastic. The bottom reads "Cherry Fest Classic
Car Show Best Hot Rod". In the center-bottom placed vertically is
"2006" in case you can't read it and the car on top is resting on a
tire and wheel. Needless to say, I had a big smile on my face when I was
walking back to my car. All of us (Larry, Gary and Debbie) will be attending another car show next weekend,
June 3 in Yucaipa
so if you happen to be in the area, drop by and say "Hi". And
this time we'll be under some shade because Gary and I went in together
and bought one that fits in the back seat of his 37. No more sunburn for
us!
