| Assembly Continued   I used a different size reamer depending on which part I was working on
because I wanted a press fit for the handle and lid but a slip-fit for
the base so the lid can turn.

      | I'm not using any glue for this part
because I'm relying on the press-fit of these pieces. If they come loose
later on, I'll use a dab of epoxy on the pins.

      | Father's Day Present   My daughter Angela gave me a great fathers day present
this year, it's a branding iron that says "Handmade by" and
then my name at the bottom. Now I've never used one of these before so I didn't
know how hot to get it before using
it. I played with it on some scrap pieces and then tried it on this
project, which I'll show you soon.

      | It's Finished   I used some mineral oil on all the surfaces and I really like how it
		looks now.

      | The grain of the wood looks great and I also like the contrast of the
		two different types of wood.

      | The fit of the steel pin works really well. It's easy to turn but it
		stays where you put it.

      | And it comes apart quick and easy if you want.

      | What a great present this was so thank you Angela. Now I'll have to go
back and brand each project I've made over the past several years.

      | I hope the kids like there birthday presents, and they should last
