Hot Rod Parts
These valve springs came out of my 33 Ford many years ago and I figured
that I could use them for this project. Why springs? The way I see
it...why not!!

I welded them together and made them all
close to the same length.

I heated the larger springs and put a small bend at one end. That's the
nice thing about art projects, just because something doesn't match
doesn't mean you did it wrong. On the other hand, I guess you could
argue that it might not be right either....

Sheet Metal
I sheared some thin sheet metal to add some detail to the project.

I rounded three of the four corners so they look a little softer. You'll
see why soon.

It's Finished

These are broken valve springs that I thought would look cool.

There's something about gears that satisfies the soul for a lot of
people.
