This is the support clamped and ready
to be welded. I put a 3/4" hole for the shaft support and rounded the
top with a full radius. I also cut an angle on the end to accommodate
the angle of the steering shaft. I needed to position the bracket first
to make sure it was in the right place before welding.

Here you can see the final resting
place for the threaded part. I didn't weld the slotted area because the
brake line will be running through here and I didn't want
anything to be in the way.

Here is the finished support all
welded. The angle of the rounded piece was not planned at first but after
seeing how much better it would work with it before welding, I went with
        it.

I tapped the two holes with 3/8-16 and
bolted the bracket on to see how it fit. By changing the position of the
two large nuts on the support, I can move the shaft in or out which is
like a fine adjustment. Everything worked like I'd planned....how bout
        that!!!
