The following weekend on May 18th we went to the 22nd Annual Optimist
Car Show and chili cook off. This show is held at Sylvan Park in
Redlands, CA. which is one of our favorite shows because it's on the
		grass.
This show typically brings in lots of cars but this weekend there
happened to be at least five different shows going on (that I knew of)
so the car count was down a little. To bad because the weather turned
out to be really nice once the fog and clouds burned off. This time of
year we get a strong marine layer that reaches inland over 100 miles at
times which makes the mornings very foggy and cloudy. But by early to
late morning the clouds give way to sunshine and the marine layer helps
to keep the temps down which most people really like. Speaking of the
weather the temp only got into the low 80's which was perfect if you ask
		me.
This show had lots of venders, a live band that played some oldies
and lots of classic rock, plenty of choices for food, games for the
kids, and a beer garden. Now this show use to be held in late June which
wasn't much fun when it got over 100 degrees outside so they moved it to
mid May which has worked out for the last five years now.
I posted over 140 pictures for this show so if don't have a drink and
snacks this would be a good time to get some. Get comfortable and let's
check out some of the 300 plus cars that came out for this show.

This 56 Chevy was getting ready to park under a large tree for some
natural shade but I told the owner that I've seen tree limbs fall before
so he parked right next to me (hence the orange tint on the side). This
car turned out to be really nice and he thanked me for the tip with the
		trees.
