On Friday, September 2nd, the monthly car show put on by the Past
Pleasures Car Club was held in Yucaipa, Ca. The show runs from 6 to 9 pm
but you'd better get their early if you want to be in the show because
it fills up fast. With the drive only about 20 minutes away, we wanted
to get their early so we left town before 4:00. By the time we arrived,
most of the parking lot already had cars in it. One of these day I'll
have to find out just how early some of these guys get there. The
weather was about 100 degrees when we got there but if you were in the
shade like we were, it was just fine. It was another packed show so
let's check out some of the cars that made it that evening.
This guy was parked two spaces away from me when I arrived. And
yes...he's waxing his car in the 100 degree heat. The wax was drying as
fast as they could apply it and it's no wonder because the metal had to
be about 140 or more in that kind of heat. They continued to do the
entire car which was beyond me why someone would do that in that kind of
weather.
