The last show that we went to in 2008 was the 11 annual

		John Force Holiday Car
Show in Yorba Linda, Ca. This show brings in about 1000 really nice
vehicles; including cars, trucks, boats, customs and hot rods of all
kinds. The event ran from 10am to 4pm on Sunday, December 7 and
spectator admission was the donation of a $10 unwrapped toy. All the
toys go to the California Highway Patrol "CHiP's" for kids drive
and I found out the next day they had about 7500 toys donated. With a
record attendance of over 25,000 people that day, I'd say that the toy
		drive was a huge success.
I've heard about this show and have been wanting to check it out for
years now but it seems like every year they would have bad weather
(which is no surprise because it's held in December). I kept telling
myself to just go down there and check it out because they hold the show
rain or shine. The weather that day looked like it was going to rain, but
		it never did.
The one thing that was different about this show is that I was just a
spectator. Now there were a couple of reasons for this, first the show
requires you to pre-register in advance along with a photo of your car
and we decided to go at the last minute. On the plus side, this gave me
a way to see how things are run and if I would want to attend next year.
Well after seeing the show, I definitely want to take my car
sometime. The one big drawback is dealing with all the crazy's on 'the
freeway from Hell' which is highway 91. If you're not from around this
area, I guess you wouldn't understand. Let me put it this way, they
don't call Southern California the car chase capital for nothing.
This show sets its self apart from other shows because they have just
about anything and everything you'd ever want in a car show. For
starters, it's John Force's RaceStation with John Force, his wife Lorie,
(along with his three daughters that all race) Ashley, Britney and
		Courtney and
his two other drivers Robert Hight and Mike Neff all signing autographs. You're also able to tour his
whole facility which was just amazing. If you ever get the chance to see
his place, you won't be disappointed. They also had food catered by
In-And-Out Burgers (can you spell 'Double-Double') a live band called
"The Answer" playing oldies and classic rock all day, Chip
Fosse was there signing autographs, Jay Leno,  ESPN's Queen of
Cars Genevieve Chappell (whoever that is) and channel 2 and channel 9
were both their to report on all the action.
There are almost 100 pictures to see from this show alone so kick
back, get comfortable and lets check out the show.
