Bracket for Grinder  2                                                3-2025

Working With Aluminum Continued

This is the bottom side of the bracket. And as you can see, this was the front of the street sign.

Here is my Sears 6" bench grinder. I bought this machine in the late 70's and it still works really well. But I did upgrade the stand that it's sitting on just recently.

Looking under the stand: Those two black knobs keep the mounting table attached to the base. I got the idea for this bracket while I was assembling the stand because between the green and red arrows is where the bracket will go.

Here is what it looks like with the bracket and bowl in place.

By loosening those two knobs, the table and base become loose enough to slide the bracket between them. Then I retighten the knobs and keeps it in place. Those three felt pads are glued on which helped keep it from vibrating while sitting next to my belt sander.

When I'm not using water bowl, It's easy to remove the bracket and store it out of the way. Just a quick project that has been a long time coming.
