Clear Finish

The last step was to use some kind of protective coating and I decided to use Polyurethane. The first one I made I used mineral oil, which worked great. But later found out my father-in-law sat something on it and over time is left a outline of whatever it was. Well that got me thinking, maybe I should have used polyurethane on his because once this stuff is cured, nothing will transfer from it.

It's Finished

Here it is

I had to use some custom length screws here.

A good shot of the end grain.

From left to right: black walnut, popular, sapele, alder, oak, cherry, maple, black walnut, oak, maple, alder, African paduak in the center. And then the pattern repeats. Merry Christmas Stephanie, I hope you like it.
