Escape Room Gate  3                                                8-2025

Update And Changes

Notice the date now because six months have passed since I wrote the other pages.

My son-in-law has changed his mind about using a mag-lock on the door because he is planning of moving the floor now. With that comes a problem with the wiring for the lock system. What he wants to do once the group of people are behind the gate is turn the floor three different times, (each turn being 270 degrees) while the people solve some clues.

This is where the wiring problem comes in. If the floor is going to spin several times, that means the wires would need to spin as well. This would cause a problem as the wires would become tangled and bunched up. So he decided not do a mag-lock at all and just use a gate style latch on the side of it, out of view from the people playing the game.

Matt likes the of the raw metal along with the burn marks from welding so the gate won't be painted.

Here is what the gate looks like installed. Also notice the walls are painted black now too. Open Door Escape Games is trying to get this room up and running by the end of August and I hope this happens for them but as of this writing, there is still a bunch of work to be done.
