On the first Friday of every month, the Past Pleasures Car Club has a
show that runs from 6 to 9 pm in Yucaipa, Ca. This show is held in the
Yucaipa Valley Center shopping center and brings in cars from all over
the area.
The show that I attended was held on September 4th and the weather
was hot but cooled off nicely once the sun went down. The turnout for
this show had a record number of cars this time as they almost ran out
of parking places. Unfortunately I didn't take that many pictures as I
should have so it might look like a small show but believe me...it
wasn't the case.

If you don't recognize this engine, don't feel bad because it's not that
common. This is a Wankel rotary internal combustion engine and in this
case is used in Mazda pickup. They have the weirdest sound and if you've
ever heard one you'd never forget it. And everyone within an 1/8 mile
could here this one because we were blessed with this guy having open
exhaust that day. These engines seem to rev slow but after they reach a
high RPM, they wind down even slower which meant that you could here
this thing for a long time. Trust me, that wasn't a good thing.
